I have a '93 aerostar / 4L with a starter problem.

When I tried to start the van this a.m., the starter engaged but would not turn off. I had to get under the hood and disconnect the battery cable to stop the starter.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The starter relay is probably sticking & needs replaced. On the Aerostar it should be near the battery on the radiator support.
