Door lock/unlock remote replacement

Sorry, but I can't remember the right name for it. You know, the black door clicker.

Is the dealership the best/only place to replace it? I've got one left which is my spare one from the factory. I had an alarm installed on the truck, but the guy wired it to the existing clicker. Thanks for any input.

(Forgot to mention) I would have done a search, but as stated before, I can't remember the name of that piece.

i think most call it a key fob but aka keyless entry tranmitter key fob. then when you get it you will have to program the new one and the old one at same time so they both work. dealership is the only place i can think to get one but you could try ebay too.

when you go to program turn ignition key from off to on 5 or 8 times you will hear the locks cycle stop in the on position. then hit any button on one fob then the other fob. then remove key and you will hear locks cycle again. then try both fobs and all should be good.

My 2000 F150 came with an alarm when I bought it used, but the dealership didnt have the remote. Is there an easy way to get and program a new remote? The old unit has no markings except for "made in the USA".
