annoying alarm like sound
Hello,
Starting yesterday, an annoying constant tone has started to emit from the dashboard area of my 2003 f150. It comes on for a minute then goes off for 2 or 3 minutes, then off again. There seems to be a faint tick tick in the background while this tone is going off. No bump or accident is associate with when this started.
Does not sound like power steering pump squeal or a loose belt.
Any help appreciated.

Should have included that information. Sounds like it is coming from dashboard area behind radio. Still happens with radio on or off or ac/heater on or off.
