Warning chimes inop

I know this is a F150 forum, but I need a little help with my F350. Hope the electronics are similar and I can draw from your expertise. I have several warning chimes/lights that are inop. Drivers door ajar, key in ignition, headlight reminder, dome light with drivers door (works otherwise). I know all these point to a bad switch in the drivers door latch, but I replaced that; also tested these items buy just pushing the switch when I had the latch out; no help. Looks to me like I may have an open bewteen the door switch and the GEM or a bad GEM. Any ideas how to test without the benifit of fords analyzer? PS: The door switch I removed was definitly bad; looks like it was stuck in the door open mode. Having been like this for awhile (I just bought the truck), could it have damaged the GEM? Maybe the previous owner was too lazy to replace the swith and pulled a plug or wire somewhere??? Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
