will not charge

i need help, fast, will not charge

i have a 1982 f150 w/351w
will not charge the battery. i changed the altenator and voltage regulator. the truck would start and run if jumped but no charge. i found some faulty wiring between the alt. and starter sol. and repaired. now there is no fire from the coil. it will not start.
what have i done, what should i do?????

Check those fusable links at the starter solenoid. Backprobe them with a 12 volt test lamp to make sure there is continuity.

Talking problem found

i must have burnt the regulator at installation. it, in turn toasted the brainbox. new brain and reg, works great now. thankyou for the help
