WEIRD electrical problem... non-F150
WEIRD electrical problem... non-F150
my car is an eleven-year-old Buick Regal. This problem has only happened a few times... but let me tell you about it. It's quite funny yet not something to laugh at... if that makes sense,, lol.
when I'm driving,, from out of no where, the power door locks (all four in the 'lock' position) will move up and down BY THEMSELVES... all of them at the same time. This will happen a few times, then it will be followed by a CLUNK and that means the trunk popped open. LOL!
So this was happening one time while on a 35mph road,, so I pulled over and shut the trunk. The trunk only pops up a little bit, but if you brake the car hard enough it will fly up completely. So I shut the trunk, thinking all is ok til I get home.
I drive off, and not even 2 minutes later, the trunk opens by itself again. nothing in the glovebox to activate the trunk release button,, and no one was unlocking it while I was driving either,, lol.
I know that there is probably a wire or two crossed somewhere,, rubbing against bare metal. Hasn't happened in over 2 weeks. I thought about getting it checked out but I won't unless it happens again.
My guess is, the reason of this is because when I got water in my car and it just sat for a while (busted rear windshield for those of you who remember...).
It makes me nervous sometimes.
