97 F150 No Power to indows???
Can anyone help? I have searched threads til my eyes are bleeding...this seems to be pretty common. yet I have not found the answer.
No power to window switch. I checked all fuses. But I don't have a manual. Maybe someone can shed some light.
Thanks

Power window repaired
I have a '97 also and my drivers side window stop working. I took to the shop. The window motors , relays. etc checked and they all checked ok. The mechanaic contacted a ford technician to check and see if the GEM module could be the problem. The technicah advised that the GEM module had been replaced to correct this problem in the past. So I had the mechaniic go ahead and change the GEM module, which I guess was a gamble. After change out the window is working fine. Very expensive to fix the window!!!!!! Labor to replace was the most expensive.
Hope this helps. Terry

Power to the window switch is provided by F25 (30A) in the underhood fusebox.
It is routed via the Accessory Delay Relay in same fusebox to the window switches.
The relay is energized by the GEM module applying a ground to the low side of the coil. The hot side of the coil is supplied by the Battery Saver Relay. However, if this relay is not working, there's a whole lot more than the power windows that will stop working.

window not working
I had a simular problem with my windows in my 97 f150,
the wires in the drivers door was getting crimped every time i opened the door and causing the window switch to short out. I opened the door up and found the exposed wire right were the door handle is, and fixed it with some electrical tape. window works great now. I also used some zip ties to move the wires to avoid future problems. hope this helps.
