2000 door locks

To make a long story short, my keyless entry was submerged in water and I tried to deactivate the alarm and unlock doors. The doors would not unlock. I used the key to unlock the doors setting off the alarm. I forgot that the alarm disables the ignition and attempted to start the truck. The doors locked and unlocked several times then quit. The drivers door quit completely quit and the passenger door will unlock the door, but will not lock the door. The passenger door will unlock the door for a few times then quit. I took the truck back to the dealer and they had the truck for 5 minutes and then quoted me for actuators and switches. Wanting a second opinion I took it to a stereo/alarm installer, he shot some wires and found the fuse kept blowing after the passenger side unlocked several times. He ohmed out the switches and actuators, both good. So with that, what is the problem and what is the best corrective action to take? One more thing, the keypad will only arm and dearm the alarm, will not lock or unlock doors.

hm....i'm starting to think that there may be something wrong with the alarm brain. There could be a short somewhere causing the fuses to blow...either that or maybe some of the wires that were cut/spliced during the installation are starting to ground out?

You can get replacement key fobs just about anywhere...e-Bay, the dealer....heck I even think AutoZone carries 'em now.
