Airbag fuse
Airbag fuse
Does the airbag fuse automatically blow if there is a code being displayed? I have a code 12 meaning low battery voltage and I am wondering if the voltage is low to the airbag system because the fuse is blown or if low voltage from the battery is making the fuse blow......Chicken or the egg first!!!
Everythime I try to replace the fuse it blows.
Thanks for any advice

When the air bag diagnostic monitor detects a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1913 or B1914 fault, it attempts to disarm the air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) by activating an internal solid state switch at Pin C209-13, Circuit 937 (R/W).
The activation of this switch shorts Circuit 937 (R/W) to ground, causing the power distribution box Fuse 2 (10 A) to open, disarming the SRS and preventing inadvertent air bag deployment
does the air bag light flash a code?
whatever you do do not substitute a bigger fuse.

It flashes a 12 which i assume means the fuse is blown (no power). So i cant tell what other code may be causing that problem, seems like the priorities of the codes doesnt make much sense if thats the case.
The airbags were previously deployed and the two bags and module have been replaced. Is it possible that the OBD still has the code (DTC) B1913 or B1914 in memory and is not allowing the module to reset the solid state switch?

have you replaced the crash sensors? i would suspect short to ground in crash sensor wiring since they are mounted up front and could be pinched in a wreck. its also possable the clockspring got ruined when the air bags deployed. once the fuse blows the module should reset the solid state switch then when you put fuse in it blows again right away? i would think a wire is grounded that shouldnt be. so the module trips the switch again.
the air bag light proves out everytime you turn ignition on so if there is no fault detected on key on the air bag light will turn off even with codes stored in memory.
