Replacement Foglamps

I'm trying to upgrade my foglights - does anyone know if I can use 9005 bulbs to replace the 9145 bulbs in my 2000 F150? Does the change in wattage pose a problem?

You will have to cut one of the tabs down to make it fit. other than that there is no other problems. I have Sylvania Silver Star 9005s in mine.

I have the same setup as JMC - also with no problems. You'll love the difference. Just compare the 9005's to your current bulbs and you'll see the one tab that needs to be trimmed with diagonal cutters. Remember, don't touch the glass part of the bulb.

Thanks a lot guys. Followed your advice and the 9005s fit wonderfully.
