dome light/map light probs??????
i have a 2004 f150 XL st cab. it has a single dome light with 2 manual map lights on either side.
1 when i open the drivers side door the dome light comes on and the relay under the dash on the drivers side is heard
2 when i use the switch on the dash, the dome light comes on
2 when open the pass side door the dome light DOES NOT COME ON and no click on the relay is heard
4 neither of the map lights work at all
i think this is strange because the dome light comes on with one door and not the other
also it has been at the dealership for a week now and they can't find the cause of the problem. i tried the wd-40 fix to no avail...... any ideas.

sounds like the signal is not getting from the door to the relay for the dome lamp. I'm not sure of what the schematic looks like but I'll put money on either a bad door switch or a broken/damaged wire from the switch to the relay.
