Bulb and wiring screwed?

Hey i have a problem and this site has been valuable to many other people so i decided to give it a shot cause i really don't have any where else to go.

So i was driving home last night and cop pulled me over to tell me my headlight was out, i had no idea. i drive it home. i pull out both head lights annd my left headlight is not working on these lgihts the headlight and hibeams are sepeare so i flip on the high beams and they work fine on the left. so i switched the right and left and turned on the regular lights and neither came on. so is the left one burnt out and the wiring messed up? is there anything i can check or try thanks so much. i don't know what ot do. they're projector headlights if that helps.

Did you check your fuses ?

Pass compartment fuse #26 and #28 are the left and right low beams. At least on a 2001 it is, I thought the 97 and up were the same way. Check your owner's manual to be sure if these are the correct fuse locations.

With one working I would not think it is a problem with the multi function switch..but that is a guess right now.

Check the fuses first.
