2001 Supercrew, my emergency brake light is coming on and off. It seems to come on as I'm stopping and my truck is tilting down and I can get it to turn off by stomping on the gas to tilt the truck up while taking off.

The emergency brake is not on and it doens't seem to be causing any problems, just hope it's not the start of something bigger.

Any ideas?

 

Is this something that happens at random intervals, or is it linked to something else? My truck always does this after it has been washed or it rains heavily...my experience tells me that when water spray gets into the engine bay, the light is prone to come on. I've fiddled with the relay up front, but it never seems to help for very long. I just live with it, and verify that my e-brake pedal is in the up position.

 

There is a brake light and an ABS light. The brake light will light up for anything brake related (parking brake on, low brake fluid, etc.) Check you brake fluid resevoir. I bet its low.
