Maybe someone else has had this problem???? I have a 1996 Ford F150 and the turn signals stopped working. The flashers work fine and the fuses are all good. Does anyone know what I should check next?

 

I had the same problem a couple years ago. None of my lights were not burned out, but the blinkers were going crazy. Sometimes they were really fast and sometimes they would not work at all. I had my boyfriend take out the turn signal box and he took it apart to look at it. It was filled with this gunky stuff and he cleaned it out with alcohol and q-tips. Now, two years later, they are acting up again. The left one especially. Sometimes it won't come on at all and I have to keep trying it. Also, if I push down too hard on the switch when I am using the left signal, it will stop completely. I checked on the price of the turn signal box two years ago it they were around $130. It was not hard to take out the box, but you do have to go through the steering wheel and be careful around the air bag.
