Door Ajar $($*# Light

has anyone had their door ajar light come on and never go off? its been this way for a while, i just pulled out all the interior bulbs as a quick fix so my battery doesn't die on me, but i checked all fuses and connections, can't find a thing. any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks....

Roll windows up all the way. With all doors open Lift door handle insert red flow stick attached to a can of WD-40 and spray all around and don't be stingy. Do this on all doors and open then close a couple times and all your issues will be gone forever, done mine 41/2 years ago.

In my case (1997), the problem of the door ajar light only occurs during the warmer days. It appears to be some kind of short in the wiring. When I start the truck in the morning, no problem, but in the afternoon it will remain on for several minutes after the doors are closed. It does go off however after several minutes.
A friend of mine has the same situation...
