Keyless issue - 11111

I'm putting the keyless entry door handle on a buddy's truck for him, and everything is going smoothly except for two things.

When you hit 11111 the doors unlock.

If you type the code, the doors unlock. If you type the code again, the doors unlock again instead of locking.

WTF!!!??!?!???

I tried to erase the code by following the code erase instructions in the manual, but that didn't work. Anybody deal with this one yet? Somebody told me that the 11111 issue will work itself out after you reset the computer. I did that, pulled the negative battery for about a minute, and it still does it.

Help!!! I can't leave his house until we get this figured out!

Much appreciated.

Rather then try to erase the code, follow the directions in the manual to add a different code. Put in a new 5 digit code, and tey 11111 again to see if it still unlocks the driver's door.
To unlock the remaining doors, press the 3/4 key after the driver's door unlocks.

To lock the doors, press the 7/8 adn 9/0 keys at the same time.

I never tried 11111 after installing mine, as the next thing I did after the install and confirm that the factory code unlocked the doors, was to program a personal code.

Give those things a try and let us know what happens.

Good luck

It went into an 03 Screw. Took a door handle from another truck with the key pad and put it on.

Apparently for some reason "it just happens." Just as an FYI to anyone else who does this, when you first put the handle in, keying 1 several times makes the doors unlock. After several cycles of the ignition, it just stops. Don't know why it does it, don't know why it stops, but it does. I tried cycling the ignition several times, even going so far as to pull the battery for 5 minutes or so, trying to reset the computer. Nothing worked. After some time, keying the 1 just didn't do it anymore.

Who knows... electrical gremlins I guess.

Maybe it is so the factory car jocks can unlock the doors to move them around the lot, or if in the factory the door locks with the keys inside they can get into it ???

I am sure the answer to this question is "NO" but...

With the keyless entry, is there any combination of buttons that will allow you to roll down/up the windows? Or any other features besides just lock & unlock?

Thanks!

I could only wish that there was.. I believe that this is only available with an Aftermarket alarm system, and what use to be called a TwinDows module (windows actuator)...
