I have a 1997 F150 with a light in the glove compartment which is very useful. My new truck I just bought (2003 F150 extended cab) has no light in the box?? Is this true or am I missing something?

 

I think you may be missing something (although I'm not 100% certain).

I do know that my '03 F150 SuperCrew has a light in the glovebox.

If there's definitely not one there, maybe it's due to trim? Mine's a Lariat.

I have an 03 XL Sport and I just went a checked a behold I do indeed have a glove box light. Mine is just right of the latch where the panel attaches when it is closed. Hope this helps!

Looked again thoroughly at both my 97 and 03, 97 has the light fixture just to the right of the latch...03 nothing! Cant even find wiring to hint there should be a light there! Maybe a canadian thing?

 

My '03 SCrew does not have a glove box light or the door courtesy lights. It's like they ran out of the parts or something in the last months of manufacture. Kind of irritating... I am most likely going to install one myself once I get done with the military training.

 

Mine doesn't have either the courtesy lights or the glove box light. And it's a Lariet!??
Does anyone have a picture of the factory glove box light? I don't see where it would go. There is no obvious place beside the latch.
As for the courtesy lights, I would like to hook some up. I assume they are wired but there were no sockets and proper (white/red) lenses installed. Can anyone confirm this who's added them.

that has added the door sockets/lights but I still dont know of anyone who added the glove light box. I still want to know what the 03 light looks like so I can order it and make sure it fits. I still need to add the door lights and probably LED's in the cup holder.
