Question Ignition Problem

When i turned my key this morning to crank my 1986 F150, something must have snapped because it'll turn all the way to start, but nothing occurs. I have power when I turn the key forward or backward, but when I go all the way into the start position it won't trip the ignition. I noticed before I turned it this morning that it was a little stuck and I used a little more force than normal to turn it. I'm guessing when I did that some part or something broke.

Any ideas as to which part exactly may need fixing?

Thanks for the help,

Brian

I've pulled a few ignition switches - but not an 86 ford, there may be a small ball bearing type latch to push in, then wiggle the key position and the whole thing may pop right out. I have no idea what these things cost either... well, I'm gonna shutup cuz I guess I really don't have much advice after all...
