Red battery light comes on?

Red battery light comes on?
I noticed yesterday that a red battery icon came on while I was under hard acceleration, then went back off? What's up with that? Is it symptomatic of anything..........?

Doesn't seem so, fairly new belt (10,000 mi) I'll do a load test on the battery, and a output test on the alt. tomorrow.

wonder if the tensioner went out if it would give enough slack that it would slip but not make any noise.

Either a slipping serpentine belt or an alternator on the way out.
