Angry Turn Signals sticking

1999 XLT reg cab, shortbed.

Turn signals are kind of freezing up when I use them. I will turn one on, and it blinks, then sticks "on" and when this happens, the signal on the dashboard will get dim. Happens either signal I use.

My guess is the multifunction switch , but I did replace it last summer because of wiper problems, they basically would decide to start wiping whenever they felt the need...

Any ideas??

could be the relay sticking or a shorted blinker bulb.

see if you see all the blinkers light up when you turn blinkers on if one doesnt light replace the bulbs and see if that helps.

its possable that was another concern that multifunctions switches had other than wipers turn on by them selves. but it was more of when you tried using flash to pass it would make the blinkers do silly things.

All the bulbs are fine. Each side blinks accordingly when it's signal is turned on. I changed the fuse for the blinkers and such, problem persists. Got a new multifunction switch, problem persists! Looks like it's a trip to the dealer...
