I have a 1997 Ford F250 4x4 X-Cab. 2 days ago the check engine light came on out of the blue. The truck doesn't run any different, in fact I haven't had any problems with the truck at all with the exception of an exhaust leak that I recently had fixed. Any ideas on what the problem is?

 

You need to pull a code to find the problem. I hear autozone will pull codes for free.

 

I agree! Get the codes read at your nearest autozone or advance auto parts ,etc... and then post the code(s) here, also include if your truck is gas or diesel.. We will make every effort to help!!

 

Thanks, I'll give that a try. My truck has a gasoline engine.
