Another Battery problem

I have 160,000 miles on my 98 and my battery light keeps coming on eventhough I just put in a brand new battery.

Check your voltage with the truck running. it should be near 14.4V if the alternator is doing its job, with the truck off should read at LEAST 12.3 for a good battery.
