2001 Expy Rear Door Question
2001 Expy Rear Door Question
I think this got talked about a while back, but i cant locate it.
Does anyone know where the switches are for the rear door and the rear door window that activate the lights?
OR where the wires are run at, and which colors the ones are that trigger the lights to come on when the rear door or rear window are open?
We went camping this weekend and I managed to kill the battery by leaving the rear door open, thanks to all the interior lights and running board lights staying on.
I want to install a kill switch somewhere in the rear so I can prevent the lights from staying on.
Thanks
Greg

better check your Battery First, load test it and check the charging system, you don't need to install a kill switch the truck is equipped with a battery saver relay, in turn turns off the electrical output after a preset time incase lights or door left open. let me know what you find
Battery is good (6mo old).
The truck didnt do squat for a relay...it sat there and clicked (click, click, click, click, click, click) and continued to drain the battery.
I also from time to time need to haul stuff at night with the rear window open and want to have a kill switch for that too.
This has happened before (a 1 1/2 yrs ago or so) and just want to prevent it in the future.
Thanks tho.
