I have a 1997 F-150 and have been having some problems w/ my alarm system. I'm guessing it is factory installed because the replacement and original remotes said "FORD" on them. The problem is that the remote sometimes at random places and times of day will not work. I know that it is not the remote, because I just bought a brand new one from the dealer in Nov. of 2003. I am inclined to believe that is the truck causing the problems. Usually if I leave it alone for an hour or so and come back the remote will work fine, activating/deactivating the alarm. This is very fustrating because of the kill-switch in the alarm system. after a few seconds of the engine being turned off, the kill switch activates and you the have to deactivate the alarm to start the engine again. Does anyone know what causes this problem, and if so how to fix it? Thanx
