Horn alarm wont stop!!!!!!!!!
I'm in need of serious help. I purchased a 2001 super crew and was detailing it when I disconnected the positive battery terminal to clean it. Now when I turn the key to AUX or start the vehicle the horn alarm sounds and won't stop unless I remove the key from the ignition. I contacted the Ford dealers in the area and they were clueless. Had me unlock lock doors with key. Turn ignition 3 times continually, jump on one foot and pat head with left arm saying the alphabet backwards but nothing works!!!!!! Please if anyone can help me e-mail mcornell@iup.edu I'm at the end of the rope here.
I'm pretty sure your neighbors would appreciate it if you would:
1) learn to type faster
and
2) use shorter sentences
(sorry man, I was going to suggest the one foot technique but you already said it didn't work)

That doesnt sound factory... Sounds like an aftermarket alarm system. Look under the dash, and see if you can find it. Unplug the power from the stupid thing... If thats the case, then it may have a starter kill also. If you unplug power, and now when you turn the key to start, nothing happens, go to the ignition harness, (from the lock cyl), and you will see a large wire (Red/Lt Blue), it will have been cut, and two wires hooking to each side. Just hook that wire back together. Let us know what you figuire out.

Posted earlier about the horn sounding when key is turned. I looked under the dash and they have a orange wire attached to a liteblue/pinkish wire. Its not cut just spliced together with a wire connector. I,m going to see if I can get my digital camera up in close enough for a picture. I'll post it later.
