The wipers come on anytime they want too. Maybe once, maybe several times. Sometimes not for days on end, sometimes every day. Sometimes when I start up, sometimes I have been driving for hours.

Any ideas?

Multifunction switch. Do a search on TSB's or Recalls.

 

Check with your Ford dealer...there is a recall on this
