Question Odometer does not work (intermitent)

1999 F150, the electronic odometer goes blank (no display) intermitently, any suggestions?

If teh rest of the gages work when the Odo is blank, then you have a loose connection to the LED display. You have to take out the instrument cluster, open it up and clean/reseat the rippon cable from the Odo LEDs.
Mine does it too, a smart slap on the top left of the dash wil bring it back. Someday I'll fix it.
Do a search here, somebody wrote detailed instructions on the fix.

Fixed mine

...same problem, took it out, tried blowing the dust out of it, and finally broke down and gave $100 for a used cluster that read a lot less miles :-) so now I don't feel like my truck is too old.

mine did the same. it was the top left connector plug on the back of the cluster pulling out of the connector. remove the cluster push the connector back in making sure the wires are still in the plastic connector. gain some slack on the harness so it doesnt pull back out read the hanes manual on how to remove the cluster and trim
