power door locks problem?

My door locks won't work at all on the passenger side and sometimes on the driver side. On the passenger side the tab will move up and down a little but not all the way. When I press the door lock key I hear a clicking noise in the dash. Is this something simple or more complex like taking the door panel off and replacing parts? Any help would be appreciated.

Mine did the same thing starting with the passenger and then the drivers side. You most likely need the lock actuators replaced. They run about 40.00 a piece from www.fordpartsonline.com. Mine luckily were replaced under warranty so I didnt have to do it myself.
The clicking noise you hear is from the relay under the dash for the locks. You just need to pop the door panels off to get to the actuators to RR them.

Thanks 200FordStyle. I think I'll tackle the job when the weather gets warmer. For the time being I'll just open the passenger door manually. I guess I can live with it a little while longer.
