I posted this question monthes ago, but never got around to it. Is there anyone that knows what to remove to get them out on a 1999 xlt.

 

THIS SHOULD EXPLAIN IT...

 

I suggest using Method #2.

 

JUST HAD TO REPLACE HEADLIGHTS ON MY 99 LAST MONTH. VERY SIMPLE JOB NO TOOLS REQUIRED. OPEN HOOD BEHIND EACH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY ARE TWO TABS. ABOUT 1-1/2" WIDE PULL THESE TABS STRAIGHT UP. THIS WILL RELEASE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. YOU WILL THEN SIMPLY SLIDE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY OUT. MAY NEED TO WIGGLE ASSEMBLY TO KEEP IT COMING OUT. ON REAR OF HEADLIGHT UNSCREW LOCKING COLLAR REMOVE OLD BULB. REINSTALL NEW BULBS, I RECOMMEND SILVER STARS, SLIDE ASSEMBLY BACK IN PLACE AND PUSH DOWN LOCKING TABS. QUICK AND EASY.
