I have a 1998 F-150 XLT with the stock keyless entry system and anti-theft. For about the past year it has been activating the alarm (horn) when ever it wants. It will typically happen when the truck is initially turned off. The horn will sound for several minutes and go off if I do not hit the unlock button on the remote.
This has even happened in the middle of the night when the truck has not been driven for hours. What is the problem? Can this be disabled or do I have to deal with this problem?
