key in ignition door chime
Can anyone tell me how or if the chime can be turned off when the key is in the accessory position and the doors are open? It sure would be nice to be able to listen to the raido without that annoying chime. 2003 f!50 xlt Please help. thanks

I'd like to know how to disable the POS door chime too. My '04 F150 chime is integrated in the instrument cluster. There may be a code or wire cut that can be done to disable it.
For now I turn on the ignition without starting it. Probably not great for the ignition, but does the trick.
If I figure it out I'll post it here.
According to my manual If you look along the steering column there should be a brown connector with 6 wires. One of then should be Black with a Pink stripe. This should be the lead to the ingniton key warning switch. The switch grounds a signal from the GEM when the key is in the switch. Put a toggle switch on this circuit and turn it off when you want to turn off the chime.
