Head Lights Very Dim with High beam indicator on...

My passenger side headlight is very dim, seems like its shorting out. It goes dim than the High Beam Indicator on my dash goes on slightly. Wiggle the back of the lamps harness and it stops. Anyone ever Have this problem? Im assuming that its shorting out in the harness and plan on splicing a new one in. Let me know

If it were a short circut (to ground) I would expect to see a blown fuse and no headlight. It sounds like you have a bad or corroded connection at the back of the bulb. Try cleaning the bulb and socket until the terminals are bright and shiny. Do it soon. A corroded or loose (high resistance) connection can easily get hot enought to melt your bulb socket and cost you another 5-10 bucks.

If the socket was replaced before, check the wiring splice also.

Good Luck
