I recently purchased a headlight switch from a guy on e-bay who had some expedition parts. I e-mailed him and asked if he had a headlight switch with foglights. He replied that he did and would sell it to me for 15 bucks plus 3 shipping. Great, well when I got the switch a few days later I relized he sent me a switch that also had auto light funtion wich I didn't feel like fooling with. So I did some research last night here as to what I nneded to make auto lights work. Switch, sensor and a new dash panel. Well I didnt want to buy all these parts right now so I decided to throw the swich in to see if it worked. Guess what ? Auto lights work !
Everything already in the truck. wuh hoo. I have a 2001 xlt super crew. Wonder if all were like this. Just thought I would Share. Love this forum.

Everyone I've seen (minus you) has had to install the sensor and such as well. Sounds like you got lucky!

Never noticed before but sensor hole in dash is already there. I even lifted panel up to adjust sensitivity of the sensor. Guess I did get lucky.
