Unhappy Power Door Locks

Hey i was just wondering if anyone else has or has had the same problem that i have with my power door locks on my 2000 F150. Ok heres the problem when i hit the unlock button on either door the passanger door look tab on the door trys to go up but just cant seem to get up. it just goes like 1/16 of an inch up then back down. The same thing seems like it is gonna start happening with the driver door but not nearly as often. I took the door apart recently to install speakers and all and at the same time checked out the lock equip. I couldnt tell what was wrong nothin look striped or broken. The only idea i have is that the motor can be dieing and cant push up anymore. Any other ideas?

The door actuators are on their last leg. I just had Ford replace both the passenger and driver actuators and the relay. They work great now. That is the only fix. I also thought that I could just lube something and it would fix it, but the locks were dying Other people have had the same problem. See the following link:

I got the same problem with the passenger door on my truck seems like the drivers door would got first since it gets more use. So how much does it cost to have them fixed.

In that link, one person says he paid $50 for the part and $20 to have it installed at a stereo shop. I'm not sure however if that was a Ford actuator or an aftermarket one. I also couldn't tell you about both of mine along with the relay, because it was covered under warranty.

Try calling a Ford stealer (dealer) and inquire.

Thanks for the info I'll check around on pricing on it.
