Lightbulb OEM foglight problem solved!

i have a 2000 expy that i added an OEM valence w/fogs to I bought off e-bay. I did not have the hidden harness that others have on here. It came with a ford harness that would not work the way the instructions said to wire it. I finally have it figured out, so here it is: black wire from fogs to ground, white/orange wire from fogs to #87 on relay, red wire from solenoid to #30 on relay, white/black wire from pin #5 on headlight switch to 5A inline fuse to power(ignition on), yellow wire from pin #2 on headlight switch to #85 on relay, red/black wire from #86 on relay to ground. Wired this way, the fogs will work with bright lights on. I hope this helps anybody trying to do this.

Hotrod. I too purchased the foglight kit off ebay for my 2000 Expy. When it came in it appears the switch is for a 1999.

My 2000 has a 12 pin and a 6 pin attachment to the switch. The 1999 has two six pins and a four.

My question to anyone with a 99 could you pass me the wire colors for each of the 6 pins--I have the four pin from the directions.

My hope is to wire them directly to the new '99 switch (assuming Ford didn't change wire colors).

Thanks in Advance!

Tuck

I would just get the 2000 switch for fogs and not worry about blowing fuses if any of the wires contact each other if you direct wire the 99' switch. Peace of mind is well worth $52.
