Question Wierd turn signals!!

Has anyone experienced a problem with the turn signals on a 02 f-150?
Both signals work perfectly when the tilt steering wheel is in the upper most position. But when the wheel is lowered, the dash board indicator stops blinking and a "squeaking sound" begins in the steering column. I can move the wheel up and it begins working again and noise stops.

Wierd!!!

Some of the wires connected to the multifunction switch are probably loose. Ford uses just enough (and sometimes not quite enough) wire to complete the connection.

If you search "multifunction", you'll find the procedure for removing the steering column shroud, to reach the wires.

Thank you AjRagno
I'm new to the site. Can you tell me where the search is for Multi****ion? Is it on f150online or the ford site?

Thanks again

I had the multifunction switch replaced and signals are working fine in all tilt positions now.

Thanks for the posts.
