Just thought I'd throw that out there, for anyone looking for an alternative to Silverstars... I've tried both, even had them both in at the same time, and I still didn't care for the Silverstars. But anyway, I just got my third set of lights from this guy (foglights this time). These are only $18 a set shipped, and very quick shipping. I ordered them Friday, got 'em today (Tuesday)... Just felt like sharing that with ya'll...

Oh, BTW, he now does vinyl too... Didn't really look through to see what he had though...

Sorry, forgot to mention these are high wattage, so you'd need to upgrade you're wiring...

I got a complete harness from www.suvlights.com for around $40 (very easy install... got pix in my gallery), or you can just get heavy duty connectors from ebay for around $15, but you'd probably have to cut, and they only protect against the heat generated from the bulb itself. There's still a possiblity of wires heating up from the extra current.

I've heard that some auto parts stores in the bigger cities carry the complete harnesses, and can save you a little cash, but I could'nt find anything around here...

I have been studying the diagram and I can do away with the stock headlight crap. All i have to do is plug one head light into the harness then hook everything up and when i hit my headlights it will throw the beam to my new lights.

Yep!

Well, sorta... It uses a direct lead from your battery to run the lights, and only uses the stock headlight socket/wiring to switch the relay... I never tried it with the stock lights, but I've heard guys say that the heavy duty harness improved even stock lighting. Although, it would be real easy to unplug one side, and plug the empty factory socket back in to see if this is true...

This is the second vehicle I've had this setup in with no problems, and I'll be doing this soon to my GF's car also... I've still got the bulbs from my Eclipse... wish I'd kept the harness...

Yea i figured the headlights turned on a relay which turns on the lights. I could put me some wig wags in that harness fairly easily. I gonna order this. You haven't had any trouble ordering from svtlighting.com have you???

I'm assuming you meant www.suvlighting.com? If so, the only complaint I've had is that they're kinda slow on shipping. It seems like it took 3-4 weeks from the day I placed my order both times... You might be able to find it somewhere else, but I really don't know... I do know that Summit sells what appears to be the same kit but it's sold under APC if I remember right... Seems like the same price or maybe more... again I can't remember... Not a whole lot of help am I???

I checked summitracing for it and it is like 30 bucks more there and doesn't look exactly the same. Thanks for posting this information. My headlights have been bugging me ever since i got the new housing. There isn't nothing wrong with the housing it is just i broke one of those little connectors off taking the bulb out. It seems like everytime I run into a problem someone on here has a solution already. Thanks again. I'm gonna get it from suvlights.com. .
