Question Light Switch modification for fog lamps

I read the modification for a '97 F150 light switch to allow fog light operation without headlights. Does anyone know if this will also work for a 2003? Thanks

The headlight switch is different. I will post the link if I find it.

Talking Fog Light Mod

Thank you very much. I hate that I can't choose when I want my fog lights to come on. I love my truck but that one feature bugs me.

Thumbs up Fog Lamps

The article from SVLIGHTINGS looks pretty good. Nice pictures, etc. and it's for a 2000 which should be real close.
Thanks again!

I just took a look at SVTLIGHTNINGS.COM. The instructions and photos are excellent. They almost make me brave enough to take the plunge myself. Maybe after I finish by backup cam project.

Thanks to all of you who are willing to share your experience and are willing to help teach newbie truckers like me.

Great instructions. Just finished, works awesome. One question, does anyone know if there are any repercussions to splicing the wires? (i.e.: blown fuses, melted wires,etc...) I just don't want to have any future problems and cause more work later.

I've only read where one person had problems post-mod of the splice/switch mod.

Bunches of people have done this mod and, I'd have to say, I believe it's probably 99.9% successful.... just don't go and use mega wattage bulbs in your fogs or heads... That WILL cause meltdown!

Sorry I was a little bit late with that one... I had to trench that one up and out of the depths.
