Drivers side power window

So here is an update....The window will work but only when the ignition is in the ACC position and only when the door is open after the warning signal goes off. It is looking more like the G.E.M. now. I hate to have to take it to the "stealer". If there are any ideas out there ...help

Hmm!! Have you checked the switch? I had a problem recently and took the switch assembly out, then dismantled the switch assembly, cleaned all of the contacts with spray contact cleaner and got everthing working again. With the symptoms you have described, you may have another problem though.

Exclamation Make sure both your #4 and #5 relays are good!

When you swapped your #4 relay, did you fill in #5 with a known good one? I know they're the same type, but you need both a good #5 accessory delay relay as well as #4 one touch power down in order for both sides' power windows to work properly. If you put your faulty #4 in the #5 position, I can almost guarantee problems.

See my post in the following thread

to see what I mean what havoc relays can cause!

ZACARY 1,
Maybe you are right. I have swapped the relays multiple times and for a while I could get the window working when the door was open, but only after the warning chime shut off. I cannot get it to do it again though. My delay relay is working fine.
The truck was bought used so it is possible someone did the same thing that I did. I am getting a new relay tomorrow, if that doesn't do the trick than it will probally be the G.E.M.
I hate to take it in if that is the case but I can't live without that window. I'll post my findings.

Well, it is certainly worth a try!

My point is, in all these relay threads, is to point to a potential solution that would involve minutes and a few bucks for a relay...as opposed to hundreds of dollars diagnosing wrong!
