1988 bronco no lights wont start dead

bronco started fine just tuned it up after sitting for two years bought from a guy for 500 dollars. i started the truck then i turned it off then tired it again made like a pop noise then it wouldnt start, lights dont work now either, battery is fine almost brand new out of my mustang. the bronco is a 1988 with a 5.0 302 efi motor. an ideas would be a ghreat help, thank you in advance for your help. wont crank or anything truck is dead

Hi Monty

Did you get it started? Kinda wierd, eh. I was thinking maybe bad/corroded battery connection. No juice=no start/ lights etc. But you said it started, then wouldn't start again.

Are you sure batt. ok/connections clean/tight and cables ok? If so, kinda sounds like a fuse? Just guessing, is there any kind of circuit breaker or big amp. fuse that is inline between the pos. + battery cable and where it goes to? If not then....

Ck. for updates, maybe more help to come.
