What controls fuel injector pulse
What controls fuel injector pulse
I have a 86 f150 that I replaced the engine and cant get it started, it turns over, gets fuel to rail, gets spark, the timing is dead on correct, the valves on this particular engine are positive stop so I know they are set correctly. the problem is that there doesnt seem to be any current or pulse being sent to the injector harness to fire the injectors. I have replaced the eec relay, had the distributor module checked and am completely at a loss of what is wrong. is there a sensor that I might be over looking? it ran real bad with the old engine and finally just quit and did nothing but turn over. I luckily had another 302 sitting around that was in much better shape and I know for a fact ran. so I just put it in and it still wont do anything but turn over. Please Help anybody. What am I missing. Thanks

Voodooman with the old 5.0 pushrod set ups the E-4 system is now like childsplay. Words from experience when we would test
the iginition modules [distributor based systems] at autozone
the equipment we had at the store was incapable of correctly
diagnosing these fender or distributor mounted moduels. The best
thing for you to do is to just buy one at a wrecking yard for about
5.0$ .Worst case senario is that is the ecm that to is a good idea
to buy another one of at a wrecking yard [take your old one to
correctly match up the current one do not mix & match] i also
remember seeing a service bulliten on the wiring harnesses having some trobule after being disconnected look over the
wiringharness make sure the pins are all making good contact.
Further than this we will have to look in to it with a little more
detail. good luck turbo ted
