What Is It?

I was pulling into the gas station last night, and felt something fall on my foot. I thought maybe my stereo remote had fallen out of the pocket...

It was a piece of grey plastic that had obviously fallen off something under the dash - but it didn't look too familiar. I looked under my neighbor's dash when I got home, but didn't see anything like it there either.

It's about 1" wide, 3" long, has a hole in the middle and four clip-like things on the edges. It has a part number stamped on it: F5VB-14A099-PA

I'm guessing it is a protector for some sort of wiring harness - I'd just like to make sure it isn't something that's on the verge of causing me real problems if it's missing!

Does anyone have access to a parts catalog that can check what the heck this is?

Thanks

It is a shield/clip for one of the wiring harnesses, probably for one under the steering column.

It sounds like the one that goes over the ignition wires next to the steering cloumn. I wouldn't worry about it.

So far, no abnormal noises - of course, I should turn down the stereo and listen a little!.....

Thanks for your help

Damn it just fell off? Hell if it is still under warranty I would take it to the dealer and have them fix it. Parts should not just fall off a 20k plus truck, unless of course its a Chevy...
