Alarm going off-no reason

Yesterday the audible alarm went off for no reason. It shuts down with the key fob. This has happened twice now and I think this may be related to the hot weather. What can cause this to happen?

Also the door ajar light sometimes will remain on after the doors are closed. I tired the WD 40 trick that everyone recommended but to no avail. Once it came on while driving, doors were not opened. Could there be a connection here?

These are intermitant problems that are driving me nuts. What module controls these features and can the heat of the interior cause them to fail.

Thanks in advance for any help posted

Yes both doors and in the latch area of the door. Still confused as to why the OEM audible alarm would go off for no reason

alarm

On a factory system,a scan tool can be used to retrieve the last 8 alarm events which should narrow your serch down to 1 componet.

Another item to check is in the ignition. My alarm problem turned out to be a short in the key in the ignition sensor in the ignition. Put your key in and turn it on(not to start), then use a small phillips screw driver to release the tumbler and look for the plastic coated sensors, mine were shorting so i cut them out and taped it up until I get the cash to buy a new clockspring and have it put in.

good luck!

PS- the door ajar switches are a royal pain to replace.
