Power adjustable pedals

Well I was snooping through my 2000 F150 manual and saw that Ford mentions the power adjustable pedals in there. I don't currently have them in my truck but would anyone out there know if its possible to install them? If so where can I get some and how much do you think it will cost??? Only reason I am asking is my wife is only 5' tall so it would do her a world of good. Thanks

I have the power pedals in my '01 SCrew and they do come in handy when my son drives. Don't know about adding them in, as it looks like it may be a lot work. Both pedals are on a sort of sliding rail type setup with a motor attached. Probably be really expensive to buy the parts.

I have them and find them nothing short of useless. But thats my opinion.

I inquired about having them removed and its not possible. As such, i seriously doubt they can be added.

Exclamation USELESS??!!

They are not "useless", if as a previous person stated, you have a short driver.
My wife is five feet tall, and I especially added the power pedals to my 2002, to give her more space between the airbag/streering
wheel and her body. In fact this "useless" feature (as you call it ) could be a lifesaving device in the event of a crash. Have you ever seen how close to the steering column a shorter person has to sit in order to reach the non-adjustable pedals?? We have, as we had a 99 with the fixed pedals
I think they should be available on all makes and models!!!!!

Electirc pedals

I have them on my 2002 S'crew and they do come in handy when my wife drives or just to change driving positions, on long trips. I would suggest, since they have been options on so many vehicles for several years that you might be able to find "everything needed" at a "Salvage Yard". Probably pretty expensive through the dealer, though. Good luck!

Cool

If you have the power pedal option, you will have a switch on the left side of your dash that is labeled "Pedals".

I have a 2000 xlt and found the harness where the pedals plug in. I think you would be able to put this option in your truck for your wife- provided you have a XLT or lariat. xl seem to have a stripped down harness
