The correction on the lights was for jboemler, not for you. I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job.

My question to you was for the forward facing visor lights.
Maybe I should ask for clarification on the term visor lights.
I was thinking that these were clearance lights on the cab of the truck. Is that the correct usage of the term.
I can see where a F-250 SD gets away with them falling under second division vehicle status, but if you put them on a F-150, does that mean they are now not allowed, again if I am using the term correctly.
That actually is another question in itself. Is a F-150 still held to second division status ?
I know the safety lane part is out, but I have been told by IL State Troopers that the other parts of second division status still apply ( state trooper pulled me over to tell me to get out of the express lane once, but Chicago cops never bother me on LSD ?? ).
My SCrew is not that much longer then a EXPY, adn they can get car plates and do all the things a car can do. ??
The laws get so confusing when applied subjectively.
Thanks for any clarification on the topic of the thread, or the additional questions off topic.
jboemler sorry for the hijacking of your thread.
Hey no problem. There are alot of laws that are up to the officer to determine the meaning.
I thought you were talking about the sun visor lights that girls(and mabye some guys) use to check their make-up.LOL
The clearance lights on your "visor" or on top of the cab are in question. I don't have a copy of the law in front of me, but I don't think you will(should) be bothered with them. As I said before, it is up to the officer. Besides most cops are far from car nuts. I took a pole from about ten officers in my unit and most didn't know the difference between a F150 and a F250. But that isn't allways the case.
Good luck and a good attitude will take you a long way.

Finally installed SuperStreet L.E.D. high pressure windshield washer replacements. Returned blue ones for green. Looks good on white truck. Plenty of water pressure coming out of dual squirters on each side. Each squirter has some room for adjusting with a med size pin. Would recommend. Current colors; Red, Blue, Green, Purple from truckstuffusa.com.
