Ignition Switch and Wiper Fluid Relay Fix
I figured Murphy's Law was working overtime against me. My wiper fluid stopped spraying when I hit the switch. And at about the same time, the open door bell started ringing when the driver side door was open after I removed the key from the ignition (Yes, the headlights were off).
After consulting with my friends, we decided my ignition switch was going bad (worn out tumblers). We also determined the button function of the wiper switch also went south. It made sense to me because, I'm pushing 76,000 on my 4.6 Supercab 4X4 XLT.
Then I ran some searches on this site, and bought a $2.95 can of CRC Electronic Cleaner Spray. I cleaned the electrical connection at the wiper reservior (after confirming a signal with a multimeter), and I also gave the ignition a quick shot.
That did the trick for both problems immediately. I owe you guys a lot of thanks (particularly the senior members). This site is awesome!
