Question Which Remote Starter???

Anyone have some advice on aftermarket remote starters. I have a 2001 F150 with remote keyless/keypad entry and no alarm. I would like to have the keyless entry and remote start on the same key FOB and don't necessarily want an alarm added. Universal kits with programmable key FOBs (?) scare me but that is mostly what I see out there. Any suggestions?

Thanks

i would suggest the viper 550 esp. you can get it on ebay real cheap and install it yourself. if you dont want to install it yourself, it would cost around $400 installed. with any remote starter, i would highly, and i mean highly, recommend an alarm as well! circuit city installs these alarms, but you may have shops that do them well in your area. good luck!

Remote starters are very useful in Florida eh KingRanchSC02? I mean, it must get down to around 50 degrees there sometimes... talk about cold mornings. Wow. How do you survive?

I have a Ford Silver Remote Start, Don't forget that remote starts also run the A/C when you start it. I don't think I would survive in Florida, even with a remote start. I can't think of any benefit for a Western Snowplow though, unless you lie down in front of it for some shade.

If you have any questions about Viper equipment... I work with three guys that have pretty high level Viper systems on their cars and trucks. Two of them have the Viper 500 ESP I believe, and the other has the Viper 790 XV. Talk to me if you need any info from them.
