Question Wipers Inop

Haven't found this exact problem here yet so here's what I have.
Recently purchased 2000 F-150 Extended Cab XLT still under a warranty but the wipers don't always work. Sometimes they do most times not, especially when I need them like now! The washer spray works just fine and I've noticed that if they don't work after I park the truck for couple of hours they work sometimes.
I can take it to the dealer in the morning but that's at least 40 miles of rain. Any ideas??
thanks

A common problem that I've heard of is that the rotating switch on the turn signal arm (where your wiper controls are located) is faulty.

Get it in while it's under warranty!

Cool

Ok, thanks Rock, I've done some more reading in the forum archives and that's what it seems to be. As bad as it sounds it's nice to know that I'm not the only one with the same problem. I'm scheduling an appt with the dealer as soon as I can.
Thanks Again.

Mine isn't 'right' but, it does work.

My problem relates to the delay in the wipers. I can set it on the shortest delay and it works fine.... but, when I put it on the longest delay, it wipes just like it was on the short delay.

It's on my 'get it fixed before the warranty is up' list.
