Question Power Seat Memory 2000 EB Expy

Hey guys. I recently purchased a 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition. I added another keyless entry door code and reprogrammed 2 additional key fobs. For some reason, my power seat memory now pushes the seats all the way forward to the steering wheel and all the way up. Is there anyway I can get the seat to not do this or to default to a more comfortable entry position. Thanks.

Try reading the owner's manual. The fobs are associated with one of the two memory seating positions, the manual describes how to program the memory positions and associate the fobs to the desired memory position.

I too have a 2000 Expy.

I have 3 fobs working it.

A little known fact....there are 3 memory positions. 1, 2, and both 1 & 2 depressed. When programming your fobs as you push each one in the programmming sequence it takes the corresponding memory number.

The first one pressed will be position 1, the second will be 2 and the third will be one and two.

When setting the seat position hit the programming (set) button and press the 1 and 2 buttons at the SAME time. The 3rd fob will then bring the seat into that position when it's depressed.

I keep the 1st and 3rd fob while my wife has the number two one.

This works for my 2000 and should for yours.

As far as a 4th fob, I'm not sure what would happen.

Hope this helps----Bob

Question

OK, maybe I'm dumb but I tried the procedure in the manual and I cannot set more than one fob to the memory locations. My fob will control memory location one, but I cannot set my wife's fob for memory location 2.
