Annoying Door Chime

I forgot about the other half to that switch.. It is behind the PATS transceiver (black ring around the key cylinder..)
Remove it and then you will see a quarter-moon looking tab on the housing that the key cylinder rests in.. Remove this tab also..
That should do the trick...

oh. and It has one wire going to that quarter moon shaped tab..
I think it is black with a pink stripe (maybe)

If you are speaking of the metal tab that is left in the "hole" when you remove the key cylinder, I pulled it from the hole (without cutting the black/ pink wire) along with removing the orange tab on the cylinder, reinstalled the cylinder, and the thing still dings!!!! That is why I am confused.

Only explaination that I can come up with is a short to ground on the black/pink wire..

Thank you Thank you Thank you. That chime was about to drive me nuts.

I did not have to remove the whole orange piece on the cylinder....I just gently pried off the the little two-prong piece of metal from the top of the orange piece.

It will still ding when the ignition is on if the door opens, but it's nice and quiet in the "off" position. Thanks.
